Ladies Day #3 at GCMTB Nerang Mountain Bike Trails on Sunday 22 July 2018.
THE CHAMPAGNE IS ON ICE!
GCMTB are holding their third ladies only, mtb ride and catered picnic. We will start in the village at Nerang Velodrome where SIAC timing chips will be issued to all riders. After a rider briefing, we will head out as a group, at a casual pace, for a three hour ride. If we have a large number of riders we will split into multiple groups. Each rider will undertake the special stages individually and when all riders have completed the run we will gather as a group and move to the next special stage. At the completion of the stages we will return to the village for a catered picnic. The day will cater for most skill levels, however it is not suited to first timers.
The number of and layout of special stages will be advised closer to the date.
Whilst the event is casual and not intended to be overly competitive, the format of this event is different to the previous two Ladies Days. All timed special stages will be conducted in accordance with MTBA Gravity Enduro rules.
You must have an MTBA Race Licence or Day Licence to participate in this event. You can upgrade your MTBA Recreation Membership for $15. You also must have a full face helmet. Riders in the U/17 category are required to wear a long sleeved shirt, full finger gloves and knee and elbow pads.
There will be medical support in attendance.
GCMTB has recently purchased their own timing equipment. We have kept the cost of registration low as we will be trialling the equipment and our personnel. Whilst we will be doing our very best to have the equipment and our personnel trained and able to operate the equipment, it will be our first timed event so we ask all participants to be understanding and patient if we experience difficulties.
All tracks used will be legal authorised trials.
Online registrations close at 9pm Tuesday 17 July 2018. As this is a catered event, THERE WILL BE NO LATE ENTRIES OR DAY ENTRIES.
All riders must have a current Mountain Bike Australia (MTBA) Race Membership or purchase a Race Day Licence during the registration process.
Membership must be valid on the date of the event for which you are registering. If your membership expires before the date of the event, you must renew your membership before entering this event.
MTBA Recreation Members can upgrade to a Race Membership at anytime through the MTBA Online Services System or opt to purchase a discounted Race Day Licence Upgrade.
Full Face Helmets are compulsory on all special stages.
Riders in the U/17 category are required to wear a long sleeved shirt, full finger gloves and knee and elbow pads. A neck brace is recommended but not compulsory.
A helmet must be worn at all times including liaison stages; they must also be secured properly at all times.
